My Cat Lewis

Based in Charlottetown, P.E.I., My Cat Lewis is a band of four professionally trained musicians with an eclectic set spanning across most genres of music. Comprised of vocalist Henry Ervetta, Guitarist Warren Power, bassist Charlotte Lloyd, and Drummer Danika Poirier, the group is chock-full of exceptionally talented and well-trained musicians.

The group met in the Holland College Music Performance program at the School of Performing Arts in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Lloyd, Poirier and Power, in their second year of the program and Ervetta, in her first, the group formed from a shared idea between Poirier and Ervetta, who were roommates at the time, to make a cover band of trained musicians that could tackle any music thrown at them, as opposed to the stereotypical group of hobby players you would typically think of when someone mentions a cover band.

The name of the group comes from the name of the lead vocalist, Henry Ervetta’s, pet cat, who passed on in 2024. Lewis had an affinity for all different types of music, and Ervetta would often sing him to sleep in his later years. Lewis lives on in memory through the group, both in name and as their mascot.

Together since May of 2025, the group set out with one goal in mind: to have fun playing whatever music makes the group happy. Whether that was mainstream pop songs, 12-bar blues, hardcore punk music, or fusing classic dad rock with Bosa Nova, the group tries everything and can’t be put into one singular box.
